About the vacancy
We are looking for a skilled and motivated Technical ICT Consultant/Engineer to join our team working on Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) for the laundry industry called GLOBE. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, performance, and availability of the GLOBE MES solution for our customers. You will work closely with internal development teams and customers to maintain, deploy, and optimize software systems in production environments.
Key Responsibilities
Perform database maintenance and administration, including backups, optimization, and troubleshooting.
Conduct performance tuning of the GLOBE application and underlying databases.
Handle software and database deployments, upgrades, and patching in test and production environments.
Monitor customer systems, proactively identifying and resolving incidents and performance issues.
Analyze system logs and metrics to ensure system stability and availability.
Support and communicate with customers regarding technical set-up, issues and provide clear documentation and reports.
Collaborate with development, support, and project teams to improve system quality and reliability.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Experience with database systems (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, or similar).
Knowledge of performance tuning, system monitoring (Zabbix) and troubleshooting.
Experience with software deployment processes and release management.
Knowledge of cloud, virtualized environments and web application servers
Knowledge of Windows, Linux operating systems
Managing Containers in development and test environments (Docker)
Knowledge of technical infrastructures and networks
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently as well as in a team-oriented environment.
Language Skills
Fluent in English and Dutch, both spoken and written.
Knowledge of additional languages is a plus.
Nice to Have
Experience with MES systems or industrial/production environments.
Familiarity with scripting or automation.
Experience in customer-facing technical roles.
